Welcome to My Blog!
Welcome to my journey! I'm Sara Al-Zubi. I am a fourth-year Medical and Master in Public Policy student at Harvard, and I grew up in the Midwest. My passion lies in global health work in the Middle East, particularly in low-resource settings. In 2022, I was honored with the Martin Prince Award for Student Innovation, which I used to expand healthcare access in the region. Additionally, I was the runner-up winner of the Harvard President's Innovation Challenge with a prize of $25,000.
As co-leader of the American Foundation for Improving Arab Health, I work to improve healthcare for Arab Americans. This led me to start my own nonprofit, the 3Sisters Foundation, which is working on the Yemen Healthcare Initiative to address the health crisis in the country. My focus is on strengthening the connections and investing in communities to improve healthcare access, particularly for refugee women in the US from the Middle East. Previously, I served as the US Ambassador for Humanitarian Affairs to the UN.
Thank you for joining me along this journey!
